Working collaboratively with our community

Open Newtown is ‘owned’ by its members. Our Members are organisations from across Newtown who are involved with the towns environment and / or who make use of the towns green spaces. We operate with a board of volunteer directors and a small team of part time staff.

Our written objectives revolve around working collaboratively with our community, through our membership, engaging them in the sustainable management of the towns natural resources. We also run community engagement events for the wider community of Newtown to share our vision and collect ideas and feedback.
